ALBANY - Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo is vacationing in the Caribbean with family, his office said Friday.

"The governor is on vacation with family in the Caribbean, returning Monday night," Cuomo spokeswoman Melissa Derosa said in a statement. "Lt. Gov. [Kathy] Hochul will be in New York for the duration of the governor's trip."

The governor's office didn't disclose precisely where Cuomo is vacationing. When his schedule was released late Thursday it said only that he was "out of state."

The trip comes days after lawmakers signed off on New York's 2015-16 budget. The State Senate and Assembly have adjourned until April 21.
