Take 5: Secret agent men - and women

'Covert Affairs," a new USA series debuting Tuesday, stars Piper Perabo ("Coyote Ugly") as a rookie agent for the Central Intelligence Agency. The CIA has been the inspiration for these five TV series agencies:

U.N.C.L.E. (United Network Command for Law Enforcement) - Jet-setting agents Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn) and Illya Kuryakin (David McCallum) tracked down baddies for this organization on "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." (1964-68).

CONTROL - What this acronym meant was never revealed, but its employees, Agents 86 (Don Adams) and 99 (Barbara Feldon), kept the world safe from such nasties as The Claw and Siegfried on "Get Smart" (1965-70).

IMF (Impossible Missions Force) - The elite group of counterintelligence agents were led first by Dan Briggs (Steven Hill), then Jim Phelps (Peter Graves) on "Mission: Impossible" (1967-73).

The Agency - Secretive government group that "Scarecrow" (Bruce Boxleitner) worked for when he recruited an innocent housewife (Kate Jackson) to work with him on "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" (1983-87).

CTU (Counter Terrorism Unit) - Superman-like operative Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) foiled terrorist plots for this government agency on "24" (2001-07, 2009-10).
