The latest in the terror scare case

IN CUSTODY. Terror suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab has been taken to a prison in Milan, Mich., after being treated for burns.

ANOTHER SCARE. A Nigerian passenger who locked himself in a bathroom was removed yesterday from the same Northwest Airlines flight that was attacked Christmas Day. Officials later said he was ill and posed no threat.

ON ALERT.President Barack Obama in a briefing yesterday with his national security team told officials to maintain heightened airline security.

A SINGLE ACT? Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said there is no indication Abdulmutallab was part of a broader terror plot.

YEMENIS CHASE LEAD. Officials in Yemen said they are investigating Abdulmutallab's claims he was involved with al-Qaida there.

BRIEF TRIP HOME. Nigerian officials said Abdulmutallab "sneaked into" his native country one day before the bombing attempt. They said they will aid the U.S. investigation and launch their own.
