Mostly sunny skies will unfurl across Long Island Monday, with daily high temperatures expected to climb toward 80 degrees, the National Weather Service said.
News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said humidity levels will drop Monday but it still will be warm and sunny over most of Nassau and Suffolk counties.
Southwest winds are from 8 to 13 mph.
Clouds develop Monday night with the chance for showers overnight and into Tuesday morning.
Tuesday gets some clouds and scattered showers, with highs again in the 80s, Hoffman said.
Hoffman said the best chance for rain during the week comes Tuesday and Wednesday and again over the weekend.
