It’s a cool, wet start to the workweek — with much of the rest of the week looking at unsettled conditions, forecasters say.

The National Weather Service says to expect periods of rain Monday, with afternoon temperatures in the high 50s.
The normal high for the day at Long Island MacArthur Airport is 69 degrees.
The Federal Aviation Administration was reporting weather-related arrival delays averaging just over two hours at LaGuardia Airport around midafternoon, with some departures also affected.
Kennedy Airport was seeing four-hour arrival delays, on average, due to construction, but some departures were being impacted by weather conditions, the FAA said.
Tuesday morning is expected to bring dry conditions, with chances of rain increasing later in the day and into the overnight hours. Temperatures on Tuesday are expected to head up to around 70 degrees.
