Long Island will see a sunny, cold Saturday — but rain clouds will gather for what looks to be a soggy Long Island Marathon on Sunday morning.
Saturday is expected to stay partly sunny with high temperatures in the high 50s, Carlie Buccola of the National Weather Service office in Upton.
That’s unseasonably chilly for this time of year, when temperatures are usually in the mid-60s, she said.
Rain is expected to begin about 8 a.m. Sunday, just as marathon runners set off on Charles Lindbergh Boulevard in Uniondale, Buccola said.
High temperatures will be in the low 50s on Sunday, she said, and the rain will continue all day into Monday.
