With Tuesday’s rain now pretty much out of the picture, look for a string of dry, sunny days ahead, with highs in the mid-50s Wednesday, then up to the upper 50s and possibly 60 degrees for Saturday, the National Weather Service says.
News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman called for mostly sunny skies on Wednesday with daily highs in the mid-50s.
Nighttime, though, is a different story for some areas, where overnight lows Wednesday and Thursday could dip down to the low 30s.
In a hazardous weather outlook, the service warns of the potential for freezing temperatures.
Dry skies are expected though Monday, the weather service said.
