Long Island on Tuesday gets another dose of partly sunny skies and warm, humid conditions, the National Weather Service said.
There's a 50 percent chance of spotty showers and thunderstorms, but the day is likely to gradually clear, with daily highs in the mid 80s, the service's Upton office said.
News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said most of Tuesday will be dry.
"A few hit-and-miss showers and maybe a thunderstorm," Hoffman said. "The best chance for rain is through about 2 p.m."
Hoffman said by Tuesday night skies clear and conditions become less humid. Overnight lows in the mid 60s are expected.
Wednesday calls for mostly sunny skies, with more dry and comfortable air, Hoffman said.
Daily highs are in the low to mid 80s.
