Patchy morning fog Friday gives way to partly sunny skies over Long Island with a high temperature around 80 degrees, forecasters said.
“It will be warm. It will be humid, and just a slight chance of a late afternoon shower,” News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said.
Saturday and Sunday will be partly sunny to mostly sunny with high temperatures in the mid- to upper 70s, the National Weather Service said.
Local ocean waters will become rough this weekend, driven by swells from Tropical Cyclone Jose, the weather service said.
The swells “will pose an increasing threat for high surf, dune erosion, localized washovers and dangerous rip currents along the ocean beachfront this weekend through early next week,” the weather service said.
The workweek resumes Monday with partly sunny skies, but showers could move in by Tuesday, the weather service said.
