The late night hours of Thursday bring the chance for patchy drizzle, showers and fog, with Friday looking like a good day to grab an umbrella, as periods of showers with possible isolated thunderstorms are in the forecast.
Chances are good for precipitation right at Friday morning commute time, accompanied by areas of fog, said Joe Pollina, National Weather Service meteorologist based in Upton.
Good Friday will have “cloudy skies with showers and threat of a thunderstorm” through the late afternoon, said News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman.
Temperatures are expected to reach the upper 50s to low 60s.
But Hoffman said the weekend, including Easter Sunday, “looks good.”
Saturday and Sunday are expected to bring sunny and mostly sunny skies, with highs in the low to mid-50s, Pollina said, with lower temperatures along the coast and on the East End.
