Sunshine and clear skies spread across Long Island on Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.
Daily highs were expected push to the mid-80s with winds from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph, the service’s Upton office said.
News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said dry weather conditions continue Wednesday, but humidity levels will begin to rise for the weekend.
Temperatures Wednesday will be slightly cooler on the South Shore, the service said, and beachgoers face a moderate risk for rip currents.
Hoffman called for a daily high of 83 degrees, slightly higher than the normal for this time of year, 80.
He said skies will remain clear overnight, with lows of between 60 and 68 degrees.
Thursday morning also looks to be clear with mostly sunny skies taking on some late day clouds.
Daily highs range from 80 to 85 degrees with humidity levels building, Hoffman said.
