Long Islanders will enjoy perfect summer conditions throughout the weekend, forecasters said.

Temperatures on Saturday will reach the mid 80s with no chance of rain, along with light winds and a few high clouds, according to the National Weather Service's office in Upton.

Residents Islandwide can take advantage of the warm day by spending the afternoon at the beach or taking in the sunshine from their front lawn.

The normal high for this weekend is 83 degrees, said News 12 meteorologist Samantha Augeri.

The humidity is low with high pressure in place, so hot temperatures will be easier to manage, she said.

Weather service meteorologist Faye Barthol said Sunday temperatures should bring more of the same. Weather-wise, she said, "This weekend is pretty quiet."

Moving ahead, humidity is expected to return on Monday with the next chance of wet weather on Tuesday, Augeri said. "It will be very warm and humid to start off the week, with highs in the low 80s."

Showers and storms could bring heavy downpours from Tuesday into Wednesday morning, Augeri said. After that, drier weather returns to finish off the workweek.
