It's hard to ask for better viewing weather for Saturday and Sunday's Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach -- Long Island's unofficial kickoff to the summer season.
"Most of the weekend looks good," with nice conditions for the show, said Rich Hoffman, News 12 Long Island meteorologist.
Look for sunny skies Saturday with temperatures in the mid-60s near the South Shore, and more like the upper 60s further inland, said John Cristantello, National Weather Service meteorologist based in Upton.
Sunday is expected to be slightly warmer, around 70 near the ocean and up to the mid-70s nearer the North Shore. Those wispy cirrus clouds are in the forecast, but should be high enough not to obstruct air show views, he said.
Temperatures Monday are expected to be similar to Sunday's, with partly to mostly cloudy skies -- and a slight chance -- 20 percent -- for light showers.
