Newsday: Annabi still shocked over corruption conviction

YONKERS - Former Yonkers City Councilwoman Sandy Annabi made exclusive comments to Newsday Westchester, claiming she is still in shock over the verdict in her corruption case. Annabi, along with former Yonkers Republican Party Chairman Zehy Jereis, were convicted of bribery and extortion charges last month. She says her closest colleagues still have faith in her innocence, and that they have provided her with undying support. Annabi and her lawyers have until June 18 to file an appeal. Annabi set to be sentenced in September
