One night before “Survivor” airs its season finale on CBS, the Republican presidential candidates will play their own version of the reality show during Tuesday’s debate on CNN. The debate might be just as entertaining, full of alliances made and alliances broken, people fighting for a turn to speak, and, of course, potential winners crowned. Will Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul be voted off the island before the prime-time debate even begins? That seems likely, giving New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie the reward of a spot on the main stage. Will the candidates gang up on Donald Trump? Or will an underdog like Carly Fiorina re-emerge to grab the spotlight? The reality show finalists will answer to a jury before the winner is declared. The ultimate question for Tuesday’s debate is whether we’ll get any real answers at all. Stay tuned.
