He didn't start the fire, but he's opting out

"Opting Out" - A Billy Joel Parody

A parody of Billy Joel's "Moving Out," arguing in favor of the opt-out movement.

Newsday's editorial board might not agree with this piano man's take on education reform and standardized testing, but his presentation is out of this world.

When we saw the video, we couldn't help have a soft spot for someone who adopts the stylings of one of Long Island's most famous sons, Billy Joel, to debate us.

We hope you enjoy this video as much as we did . . . and we hope you don't let your kids sit out their tests.

The creator of the video — a YouTube user named "Bald Piano Guy" — confirmed he is a teacher in Nassau County with more than 20 years experience.
