In a recent letter, the writer gave some specific percentages as to the differences between rental versus home ownership in the Town of Huntington “Evidence of need for rental housing,” Dec. 20].

What he failed to point out is the location of the concentration of these rentals. I noticed the writer lives in Dix Hills, and I wonder, what’s the percentage of rentals to homeownership in that part of town?

It’s easy to be an advocate for more affordable housing when you are putting the housing in someone else’s neighborhood. Huntington Station has its share. Let’s look to other parts of town so we can all share in this cause together.
