Enough already! Why does Newsday feel the need to conduct an ongoing crusade against the hardworking men and women of the Nassau County Police Department? [“For their eyes only,” News, Dec. 19]

As in every large organization, there are always going to be a couple of bad apples, but to go on and on, day after day, finding fault with the very people who lay their lives on the line to protect the people of Nassau County is journalism at its worst.

Simply put, the fact that so many members of the police force abuse their authority is appalling, but to have them commit such horrific acts knowing that they can do so with impunity is frightening.
