Don’t crack down only on holidays

The kind of holiday weekend crackdown by New York State Police reported in the news story “Nearly 12,000 tickets issued” [ June 4] should be the standard for highway police every day.

The reckless driving I observe on parkways makes me wonder how there aren’t even more fatal accidents than there are.

Also, how nice it would be if police officers on routine patrol used their turn signals. Police should be good role models.
