Can’t the powers-that-be reschedule some buses that operate out of the Hicksville rail hub to make them more commuter-friendly? I commute twice weekly, taking the N81 bus from my home in Bethpage to the Hicksville bus terminal. From there, I catch the connecting N79 bus to Plainview.

The wait time for the second bus is often 35 to 40 minutes.

The Hicksville bus depot is dark and dreary. It has no indoor shelter. The bench and kiosk are inadequate to accommodate the number of people waiting. In warm weather, the long wait is exasperating. In the winter, it becomes intolerable.
