The grisly deaths caused by that butcher of an abortion doctor in Pennsylvania are driving legitimate, humane physicians out of our towns and cities, so more and more women will again turn to those who operate outside the law ["3rd life term for abortion doc," News, May 16].

Women will use dangerous methods and go to unscrupulous doctors. What we'll get is more death and suffering, not a ban on abortion.

The ill-advised Right to Life crusade, instead of enforcing virtue, will bring vice, cause irreparable harm and force women alone to bear the brunt of a ban.
