Regarding zombie homes, the State Legislature should pass a law to mandate that mortgagors -- banks -- maintain the homes once their mortgages go into foreclosure ["New approach to foreclosed homes," Letters, May 28]. Big or small, all banks must do what has to be done to prevent zombie homes from depreciating the property values of their neighbors. Newsday should publish a list of banks that refuse to do this, so we may know where to do our banking.
