I’m appalled that the Obama administration has thought it fit to cut $90 million from federal funds to fight terrorism in New York City [“Budget battle,” News, Feb. 18].

New York City is the No. 1 target in the country and needs protection from evildoers. There have been many spoiled attempts, thanks to law enforcement.

Sen. Chuck Schumer warned that the rollback could make the city more vulnerable. He is absolutely right. Evil thrives when good people do nothing!
