Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert McDonald said that the success of VA health care sites shouldn’t be measured by wait times. He compared waits for VA health care with the hours people wait for rides at Disney theme parks.

For anyone who has ever been in the military, like me, the expression “hurry up and wait” is all too familiar. Now McDonald suggests some of us get on line while we wait to die?

What’s next, sir? All VA hospitals will have “It’s a Small World” piped in?
