Letter: GOP debate shut out some voices

Hosts of presidential debates need to take a serious look at how these presidential forums are being run [“Debate of many clashes,” News, Dec. 16]. If they’re going to have nine candidates onstage, they need a system so that everyone receives the same allotted time to speak. It’s not fair to the candidates or the American people that certain candidates get to dominate the conversation.

Here’s a simple solution: Every candidate should be given a period of time to answer each question, and afterward, their microphones should be turned off.
