Letter: Legal fees siphon Sandy money

Your coverage of the fraudulent superstorm Sandy deals ignores one apparent injustice ["Settlement in fraud," News, Feb. 25]. Many victims engaged lawyers on a contingency fee of one-third of the recovery.

Settlements should require companies caught in fraud to also pay victims' legal fees.
