Regarding "Brookhaven Town: Casino would be trouble" [News, July 16]: Truer words have never been spoken.

The people of the town do not want this casino.

Just as the casino in Nassau County would have created a major problem, so will this one. Off-track betting officials keep saying the revenues would be good for the town, but it has already been revealed that the money is not what the government said it would be ["No sure bet," News, May 3].

Also, the town is not going to get all of the money. It will go to pay the operating costs of Suffolk OTB. The people do not want this in their backyard.
