Jonathan Winters equals belly-aching laughter ["Jonathan Winters, 1925-2013: 'Beyond funny' genius of improv inspired a generation of comics," News, April 13]. Mixing sensitivity, abruptness and smarts, he was a game changer. He made the world shake with laughter.

Mr. Winters, thank you for the tears you brought to my eyes as I laughed so hard so many times at your funny, funny and beautiful, beautiful mind.

Now the clouds rain with the tears of your departing. The heavens,  though, are roaring with laughter on your arrival at the pearly gates.
