Matt Davies is a great cartoonist. Often he is not only funny, but wry and smart. However, I found his cartoon on Michelle Obama’s stunning speech pure sexism at its worst [Opinion, July 27]. He depicted two women with the only words between them negative with jealousy.

Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention was beautiful and uplifting, with one woman lauding the journey and accomplishments of the other. The recipient of Obama’s generosity, Hillary Clinton, was most likely moved and awed by her sister in life.
