There is one very important reason to continue paper prescriptions in New York State, and it relates to the vast disparities that exist among retail prescription purveyors ["Relief, opportunity seen in e-prescription delay," News, Feb. 17].

I recently sought to buy an antifungal cream. The first store I called quoted me $500 for a tube. The second quoted me $300. I called several others with the prescription in my hand. This would not have been possible without it.
