Letter: Political 'parasites' prove we need change

Another day, another politician arrested ["As Skelos presses on, support showing cracks," News, May 8].

Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos is the newest member of the parasitic class known as the American politician charged with corruption. The story is always the same. Once politicians gravitate to the center of power, rewards and riches flow.

As the American people are crushed by multiple layers of taxation, these parasites exhibit the ultimate hubris. It's time we re-evaluate the necessity of supporting so many of these so-called representatives of the people.
