Knock off the nonsense.
Columnist William F.B. O’Reilly writes that he cannot support Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton [“Donald Trump’s GOP is built on sand,” Opinion, July 21].
Who needs enemies when you have political consultants for Republicans like O’Reilly? So what if Trump is not the ultimate, although that remains to be seen, and 14 million Americans of all stripes say he has many rewarding qualities. Surely he doesn’t have the baggage that burdens Clinton.
Republicans, independents and thinking Democrats need to focus on the party platforms. There are stark differences in their visions for the future of our great country.
