A Sept. 30 reader letter said that Christine Blasey Ford’s description of being attacked at a teen party is common [“Readers weigh the testimony”]. “Get over yourself and get on with your life,” the reader wrote.

That letter reminds me that as long as women feel what this reader feels, we can never move forward. It also is the ugly reason most women don’t come forward.

Sherri Pastolove, Westbury

The reader who wrote “get on with your life” had the best letter on the subject of those that were published. However, I would have added, “You went to a party knowing that there would be boys and liquor. What did you expect, a checkers tournament?” And where were your parents?
