I would tell the writer of “Don’t exploit Old Glory for profit” [Just Sayin’, June 25], please don’t be completely disappointed. Not all flags on curbsides are promoting businesses.

My brother purchases flags and copies of the Declaration of Independence, and on each July Fourth, we pick a neighborhood and put the flags in lawns and hand out copies of the document. My brother wants people to know what the day really means.
