58th Newsday Marching Band Festival 2021

The Newsday Marching Band Festival Committee is making plans for our 2021 festival. Keeping a close eye on CDC guidelines and working closely with Nassau County, the owners of Mitchell Field, we do expect to present the festival this year. Our scheduled dates are: October 19, 20 and 21st. Looking forward to hearing the music play again and hope to see you in October!

In 1963 the Newsday Marching Band Festival began with a one-day performance featuring 13 bands.

Featuring bands from across Nassau and Suffolk, each night always promises to thrill, entertain and delight families and friends.

The Newsday Marching Band Festival acts as a fundraiser for each participating school band and also funds a donation to Newsday Charities.

Having only missed one year in all the festivals history (2020 due to the pandemic), the Newsday Marching Band Festival carries on creating treasured memories for generations of Long Islanders.

Location: Mitchel Field Athletic Complex, Charles Lindbergh Blvd., across from the Cradle of Aviation Museum and the Long Island Children's Museum

Tickets: Your ticket will be available through any participating school beginning with the September, 2021 school year. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate each performance night, as well. Children 10 years old and younger are admitted for free. There is no assigned seating.
