LOS ANGELES - Hall of Famer Vin Scully underwent an undisclosed medical procedure Thursday and will not broadcast in the postseason, the Dodgers announced.

Scully, 87, had been scheduled to call the Dodgers-Mets NLDS that begins Friday night on radio.

Scully missed the final series of the regular season with what the Dodgers called a cold.

"He's looking forward to returning to the Dodgers for the 2016 season, his 67th with the Dodgers," the team said in a statement.

Scully has said he will retire after the 2016 season.
