The Houston Astros had the No. 1 pick in the 2012 MLB Draft, and they selected shortstop Carlos Correa from the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy High School in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He was the first Puerto Rican-born player to get drafted No. 1.
