Sabathia is expected to miss two starts, but should be ready to return after the All Star break.
Sabathia felt a pain in his groin during the fourth inning of his last start against the Mets on Sunday night. He reported the issue after feeling discomfort during a bullpen session on Tuesday, reported the Yankees blog, bombersbeat.com
Freddy Garcia, who is 1-2 with a 6.91 will take his spot in the rotation. Garcia will make the start Friday against his former team, the White Sox.
