Meet the new beasts of the East. Or perhaps sea-beasts is more legit.

For the second time in three years the State College of Florida Manatees beat a Major League team--this year's victim being the Baltimore Orioles, who lost 2-1.

Sure, the Orioles only won 69 games last year and finished last in the AL East--but losing to a college team? In the Orioles' defense, it wasn't totally a fair fight. The Manatees reportedly had Baltimore players pitching and catching for them, most of the starters were pulled midway through the game and it only lasted eight innings.

Jason Hammel gave up two runs and three hits in five innings against SCF, which scored the eventual game-winner on a wild pitch in the fourth inning. J.J. Hardy's solo home run accounted for the Orioles' only run.

The Manatees also logged a win against the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2009.
