"Rules for New York Sports Fans," by Joe Benigno with Jordan Raanan, irks you at first and then grows on you. It's like how George Costanza compares himself to the "By Mennen" commercials in this "Seinfeld" episode.
With WFAN host Benigno leading the way, the book details "rules" you should follow as a New York spots fan. It certainly doesn't take itself too seriously, and I got more than a few laughs from it.
And now I'll give my copy to the first person who e-mails me - at email@example.com - with the correct answer to this question:
The Mets and Yankees set single-season attendance records in the same season. Name that season.
UPDATE, 1:03 p.m.: We have a winner! Sam from New Jersey knew that the Yankees (4,298,543) and Mets (4,042,043) both set franchise records in 2008, when they closed their respective stadiums.
