Contest: The Game From Where I Stand

This is the baseball memoir by Doug Glanville. We reviewed it and gave away a copy of the hardcover last year.

It's out in paperback now, and last week, I hung out with Glanville for a little bit at a book-signing. Great guy.

So now, today, we are making history at KDBI. This isn't just a mere paperback copy of this book. It's an autographed, paperback copy. Signed by the author himself. We'll give away one copy today and one tomorrow.

Today's copy will go to the first person who e-mails me - at kdavidoff@newsday.com - with the correct answer to this question:

Glanville's first major-league game, an Expos-Cubs contest at Wrigley Field in 1996, featured six players who either played for the Mets before this game or proceeded to play for the Mets after this game.

Name the six players.

Here are the contest rules.

--UPDATE, 1:41 p.m.: We have a winner! Ross D. from Fort Lauderdale knew that, on June 9, 1996 at Wrigley, ex-Met David Segui and future Mets Moises Alou, Barry Manuel, Brian McRae, Steve Trachsel and Turk Wendell accompanied Glanville for his major-league debut.
