I stumbled upon an extra copy of "The Yankee Years," the extremely well-written book by Joe Torre and Tom Verducci about Torre's 1996-2007 run in the Bronx. We discussed it a great deal back when it came out in 2009.
Now I'll give this copy to the first person who e-mails me - at kdavidoff@newsday.com - with the correct answer to this question:
Who hit the final home run of Torre's Yankee years? Yes, we're including the postseason.
Here are the contest rules.
--UPDATE, 2:40 p.m.: We have a winner! BruceTheBullet, as he goes on Twitter, knew that Bobby Abreu's ninth-inning, solo homer in 2007 ALDS Game 4 was the final round-tripper of the Torre era.
