Jackie Robinson's life in photos

Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in baseball when he first played for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. He would have turned 99 on Jan. 31, 2018.

His number 42 jersey is retired in perpetuity across Major League Baseball. Every season on April 15, every player across MLB wears the No. 42 to honor Robinson.
