Starting pitcher Matt Garza has been traded from the Chicago Cubs to the Texas Rangers, the Rangers announced Monday.

Garza is 6-1 with a 3.17 ERA and 62 strikeouts in 11 starts this year after starting the season on the disabled list with a strained left latissimus.

In return for Garza, the Cubs will receive righthanded pitcher Justin Grimm, Triple-A third baseman Mike Olt and Class A righthanded pitcher C.J. Edwards as well as a player to be named later.

Garza was due to start tonight for the Cubs. Instead, lefty Chris Rusin will take the hill.

The Rangers' Yu Darvish makes his return from the DL tonight against the Yankees.
