The Mets announced their 33-game spring training schedule on Monday. Grapefruit League play begins with a 1:10 p.m. contest against the Nationals in Port St. Lucie, where the team will play 18 spring games.

The schedule also includes games against the University of Michigan on Feb. 24 and against Venezuela's entry in the World Baseball Classic on March 6.

The Mets will play the Nationals, Marlins and Cardinals six times each, with five games against the Tigers and four each against the Braves and Astros.

The Mets' final Grapefruit League game is March 28 in Viera against the Nationals, two days before the start of the regular season. Though there had been talks of playing a spring exhibition game in Las Vegas, new home of the team's Triple-A affiliate, the Mets would play one more spring game in Florida if they choose to add one more game.
