Even the Gov is hoping the Mets have something to show in this World Series.

After the Amazins dropped Game 2 Wednesday night, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo posted on his Twitter account, "Ok @Mets, time to come home to New York and turn this series around."

It was a tough night for the Mets, losing 7-1 to the host Kansas City Royals. But what's that line? Ya gotta believe.

A tweet from the Matt Harvey Fan Club urged: "@Mets fans . . . The series is far from over!"

Mets fan Kristin Stewie could fathom the fate of the two starting pitchers, tweeting: "So Cueto out pitches deGrom. Such a twilight zone statement."

But Brian Farrell, a Mets fan from Connecticut, "clung to that hope which springs eternal in the human breast," tweeting: "Get back on the beam at Citi and I'll bet on Harvey/deGrom not getting beat twice in this series."
