Backman talking big leagues

Wally Backman hasn't started his managing job Double-A job at Bingjhampton yet, but he's still yearning for that elusive major league opportunity.

“There’s always a bit of disappointment and it’s frustrating, but it’s not a long period,” Backman said on WFAN. ``Now I’m here to focus on Binghamton and try to get those guys ready for the big leagues...I’m going to get a job in the majors. My attitude is not going to change. I’m not arrogant. I’m just good at what I do.”
