Mets closer Bobby Parnell has accepted a one-year, $3.7- million deal -- the same salary he was paid last year during his Tommy John-shortened season, a source said.

Parnell, who avoided arbitration by taking the deal, pitched only one inning last year before requiring surgery. He had 22 saves in 2013, striking out 44 and pitching to a 2.16 ERA in 50 innings.
