Buddy Carlyle is staying with the Mets.
The 37-year-old righthander agreed Monday to a minor-league contract and was invited to big league spring training.
He was 1-1 with a 1.45 ERA in 27 games with the Mets during three stints last year, his first major league actions following two seasons at Triple-A.
Carlyle has a 12-13 record with a 5.13 ERA in 27 starts and 112 relief appearances in eight big-league seasons with San Diego, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Yankees and Mets.
