According to Kimberley Martin and Ken Davidoff on Twitter, the Mets scratched Chris Young prior to first pitch.

Martin tweeted that the Mets announced Young "couldn't get loose in the bullpen." Dillon Gee started in Young's place.

Young is 1-0 with a 1.88 ERA this year, but has battled injuries. Gee entered the game at 2-0 with a 3.50 ERA.
